A DLC is s privilege. In education, it tends to facilitate the ease
of learning and information sharing.
Constant monitoring of the DLC
for acceptable usage is very important.
If the administrators of the DLC notice a trend that is not in alignment
with the intended purpose, then the dissemination of resources may need to be
rethought along with modifying the AUP.
Surveys are a great way to get information on how citizens use its DLC.
When students are the users of a
DLC, the best way to establish and maintain a flourishing DLC is to incorporate
a plan where parents and students have an understanding of the AUP.
My plan would include the
following:
Post AUP,
Have parents and students sign off on the AUP
Assess students understanding of the AUP and consequences for violation of the AUP.
Have parents and students sign off on the AUP
Assess students understanding of the AUP and consequences for violation of the AUP.
When there is a violation of the
AUP, blocking access to the DLC works. However,
when students violate the AUP then the DLC privilege should be block.
